Two Big Weekends for the DCHS Band
In addition to supporting the DCHS Football team at Friday night football games, the DeKalb County Fighting Tiger Band spends a lot of time preparing to compete against other high school bands. These contests are held on Saturdays and hosted by various high schools across the state. CLICK HERE>>>

Fighting Tiger Band is Golden
 For the third straight year, the DeKalb Co Fighting Tiger Band won first place at the Hendersonville Golden Invitational Marching Band Contest. Additionally, the band also picked up first place trophies in the areas of Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and Best Horn Line in their class. READ MORE>>

DeKalb County High School has released the names of this year's Honor Students including the 2011 Valedictorian Britney Campbell and the Salutatorian Martha Webb.

Campbell is the daughter of Michael Campbell and Kimberly Cox of Smithville and Webb is the daughter of Alan and Lora Webb of Smithville

Mr. Joey Wilburn accepts the position as our new Assistant Band Director!  Mr. Wilburn worked extensively with our brass section in the fall and started a Brass Ensemble this spring.  He will be taking on a more active role this next year, assisting Mr. Wright and working with all aspects of the band program.
