I'm a
transplanted Kentuckian... born in
Lexington, KY. I was/still am crazy about my high school band -
Lafayette Band (www.lafayetteband.org)
- very proud of the two plaques I helped win at the Contest of Champions at
MTSU. I was in the drum line for the
University of Kentucky
Wildcat Marching Band. I am
primarily a Soprano (not the kind with guns) and sang in the KY All-State SATB
Chorus my Jr. and Sr. years, my Sr. year I was a soloist. I've sung with
Stephen Foster the Musical, KY
Opera and Nashville Symphony Chorus to name a few professional jobs. I studied
mostly with Edith Davis Tidwell of the University of Louisville. In 1997, I
graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Campbellsville University. I
began teaching music first in
Texas, later in
Tennessee and completed a Masters of Vocal Performance with Dr. Sharon
Mabry at Austin Peay State University in 2003.
I'm married
to a really cute Methodist minister guy and have two children - my son,
Richard and my daughter Samantha. I have one bad dog, one good but stinky dog
and one kitty. |
